• Real-time audio signal processing, and
  Virtual acoustic environments with loudspeakers and headphones,
  both in the context of performing contemporary music and sound installation art
• Gesture control techniques and user interface design for interactive and experimental multimedia
• MIMO systems, communication acoustics, machine listening and auditory scene analysis
• Adaptive (non-linear) signal processing for acoustic echo cancellation and signal enhancement
• Algorithmic composition
• Music philosophy, especially aesthetics
