Spherical Loudspeaker-Array Simulation

Simulations of the spherical icosahedral loudspeaker-array.
Spherical Loudspeaker-Array Simulation

The below links show several Animations to the (singular) Spherical Base Solutions up to n=3 synthesized with a spherical icosahedral loudspeaker-array. The loudspeaker-array consists of membranes located on a solid spherical housing. The array shall now reproduce the spherical base solutions. Below, you find, how those will look like.

  1. Simulated Spherical Array Vibrations
  2. Below you find animations of the vibrating parts of the spherical loudspeaker-array, when trying to synthesize spherical harmonics.

  3. Simulated Spherical Array Base Solutions
  4. It is also interesting to look at the base solutions of the spherical loudspeaker-array.
