The main goal of this study is to point out and evaluate the errors being made tuning g guitar. To achieve this, we have to look at the construction as well as the strings of the instrument and examine their intonation and tuning. comparisons of the different methods in tuning show their strengths respectively as their weaknesses. Tundamental questions of the accuracy in measuring the human hearing will be discussed theoretically, like intensity, duration, timbre and envelope as the parameter of perception of the pitch, and the favoravle audible area. Afterwards it will be tested gy guitar playing students of KUG as well: The discrimination in frequencies were tested with the Flageolett-Tuning. In conclusion, an instruction to tune a guitar is given in consideration of all the errors that can be made.
