Parallele Simulation des menschlichen peripheren Gehörs auf dem Multi-DSP-System PPDS
In this diploma thesis the design and implementation of a parallel simulator of the human peripheral auditory system based on a functional model is described.
The frequency analysis of the human auditory system is performed in the cochlea, which is realized with a bank of auditory filters, so-called non-linear gammatone filters. The intrinsic parallel structure of the model and the requirement of being able to perform the simulation in real-time are the reasons for a parallel implementation.
The simulator is implemented on the PPDS (Parallel Processing Development System) with 4 TMS320C40 from Texas Instruments.
Finally, the results of the simulation and the performance data gained are presented.
