This diploma thesis presents efficient methods for modelling the head-related transfer functions (HRTFs). After an introduction to spatial hearing and the human HRTFs, various mathematical models are discussed in detail. One approach, the principal components analysis, is implemeted. The results coincide very well with theory and show a very efficient applicability especially for various sound sources to be spatialized.
