Different extrapolation algorithms for use in speech and music should be implemented in MATLAB. Such algorithms are the MNLS - Minimum Norm Least Squared, the MSEF – Mean Square Extrapolation Filter or the DPSS – Discrete Prolate Spheroidal Sequenzes extrapolation. Afterwards every algorithm will be tested for its practical ness. The relationship between signal quality and the extrapolation length should be examined. Can these algorithms be used for realtime applications?
