Dance Shapes Sound Shapes Dance

The artistic and scientific research project Embodied Generative Music that has been pursued at the IEM in Graz, aimed at furthering the understanding of the relationship between bodily and musical expression by means of motion capture technology. I’ll provide an overview of the project, describe the technology used and the software environment developed with the help of some excerpts from the intermedial piece „Bodyscapes“.
