Hörversuch zur Lokalisation bei verschiedenen Ambisonic-Dekodern

There are different ways for reproduction of periphonic sound fields. Ambisonic is the method that is mainly used in the IEM CUBE. An advantage of this method is the decoupling of encoder and decoder. That allows us to optimize any encoded signal for every playback situation by the choice of the decoder. Different decoders will be compared concerning their qualities for sweet spot and off sweet spot positions. Finally, the results will be compared to the theoretical aspects to analyse their correlation.

In the course of this project, a three dimensional pointer tracking system will be developed, that is to be used in further localization tests.
