Vermessung von Außenohrübertragungsfunktionen mit reziproker Messmethode

Paper

The most common method for the measurement of individual head-related transfer functions is implemented using a set-up of loudspeakers around the proband and in-ear microphones. In contrast to this approach, the HRTFs can as well be measured in a reciprocal way, i.e. with outwards directed loudspeakers inside the proband’s pinna and microphones arranged all around. The resulting benefits are a decrease of the measurement duration and an easier fixation of the proband, so even different head-to-torso rotations might be measurable. This project aims at developing an appropriate measurement system along with the processing and analysis of the measured data, using the 64-channel spherical microphone array developed at IEM. Intrinsic problems of this measurement strategy shall be pointed out and possible solutions will be discussed and implemented. In particular, it needs to be clarified to what extent low-frequency disturbances affect the measurement, and whether they can be avoided or even suppressed.
