Signal processing capabilities of the latest generation hearing instruments include highly sophisticated temporal, spectral and directional algorithms. In the present research, those algorithms shall be evaluated in order to provide listeners with cues that are otherwise lost due to the microphone position. The work shall be focused on individuals with normal inner ear function (pure conductive hearing loss), because those individuals do not benefit from the common signal processing methods applied in hearing instruments.
