Sonification of Scientific Data is intrinsically interdisciplinary: It requires collaboration between experts in the respective science domains, psychoacustics, artistic design of synthetic sound and work with appropriate programming environments.
The concept of the SonEnvir project puts this view into practice: in four "target sciences" sonification designs for current research questions are being realised.
This dissertation analyses the applications realised in terms of their practical value, and their generalisability by generic models; thus contributing to integration of "scattered knowledge" relevant to sonification as a scientific discipline.
