Messung und Charakterisierung von Klängen der Lippenorgelpfeifen
In organ building many pipe ranks consist of differently constructed flue-pipes, f.e. Prinzipal 8',
which includes open wooden bass-pipes and open metal pipes for middle and treble pitches.
At the transition points, where the different pipe forms meet, difficulties in voicing could occur and
it´s hard to equalize the timbre and sound character changes within the stop. It´s an aim of this thesis
to analyse and reduce these difficulties.
Objective analysis tools will be applied to show the physics of the transient and the stationary sound.
To evaluate the human perception of the acoustical phenomena, psychoacoustical listening tests will be made.
The results of both methods will show relevant parameters in sound for the described problem and give
conlusions concerning the dimensioning and scaling properties of the pipes.
